Colonial Country Club

Colonial Country Club is a gated, bundled golf community in east Fort Myers that Pulte started in 2001, with a Gordon Lewis championship course and a full clubhouse at 9181 Independence Way.

The official club site (colonialcc.com) describes Colonial as a full-service gated bundled community. Its own timeline says Pulte Homes broke ground in 2001 on what had been swampland east of I-75 / south of Colonial Boulevard; the Gordon Lewis par-72 course opened in early 2003 and the clubhouse and restaurant in late 2004. Later club notes cover a 2015 clubhouse patio renovation, racquet expansion (Har-Tru tennis and pickleball), a 2020 clubhouse renovation, and fiber internet. The clubhouse street address used on official ARC and FAQ materials is 9181 Independence Way, Fort Myers, FL 33913. The Colonial Country Club Community Development District (colonialcdd.com) was created by City of Fort Myers Ordinance 3094 on December 2, 2002; the district page says Colonial plus Whispering Palms together cover about 750 acres with 1,779 units in the district, 36 lakes, and 160 acres of preserve — that is the CDD envelope, not the Lee GIS subdivision slice already stored on this record (763 homes). Official pages call the community gated but do not say the gate is staffed.
