Lindsford

Lindsford is a gated community of roughly 950 single-family homes, twin villas, and townhomes on about 260 acres off the Winkler Avenue Extension in central Fort Myers (33916), developed by The Ronto Group with homes built by D.R. Horton and served by two amenity centers.

Lindsford is a gated master-planned community in the City of Fort Myers (zip 33916), located off the Winkler Avenue Extension between Colonial Boulevard and Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard. The Ronto Group assembled the roughly 260-acre site and D.R. Horton built the homes; 2015 press coverage (News-Press, Naples Daily News) cited a plan of 936 homesites, while Lee County GIS records show 953 residential units today. The mix is roughly 700 single-family homes and twin villas plus about 300 townhomes, with construction spanning approximately 2014 to 2021; the community is sold out of new construction and all sales are resales.

Single-family homes run from about 1,585 to over 4,300 square feet, while twin villas and townhomes range from roughly 1,500 to 2,000 square feet. Residents share two amenity centers: a roughly 6,000-square-foot main clubhouse with a resort-style pool, fitness room, tennis, basketball, and bocce courts, and catering kitchen for villa and single-family owners, plus a separate pool amenity center for the townhome neighborhood. The grounds include lakes, a fishing pier, a playground, and access to the John Yarbrough Linear Park trail. Gate access is unmanned, managed through an app-based gate box.

A master homeowners association (lindsfordhoa.com) oversees three neighborhood associations, each with its own manager. The community sits within the Waterford Landing Community Development District, created March 6, 2006 by City of Fort Myers Ordinance No. 3319, which holds its meetings at the Lindsford Amenity Center at 4101 Dutchess Park Road; CDD debt service appears as a non-ad valorem line on annual tax bills. Per Homes by Marco market data (August 2026), listings range from about $256,000 to $690,000 with a median sale price of $368,500; Redfin showed 16 townhomes listed at a $312,000 median list price.
