Old Naples is the city's walkable historic core around the Pier, Third Street South, and Fifth Avenue South — cottages, custom houses, and low-rise condos rather than a gated HOA.
There is no single official boundary. Locals use overlapping maps around the 1880s settlement, the National Register historic district (listed 1987), Third Street South, Fifth Avenue South, Cambier Park, and the Naples Pier. Housing is a mix of remaining early cottages, newer custom homes, and boutique condominiums. Streets are public city streets. Beach access is via public beaches and the pier, not a private HOA beach club. The former Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club site is now Naples Beach Club, a Four Seasons resort that opened in November 2025; Discovery Land Company's Tom Fazio course (The Gardens) and 153 residences are part of that 125-acre redevelopment, with the golf course still listed as a 2026–2027 opening rather than already in play. City Dock at Crayton Cove serves boaters on Naples Bay.
