Spanish Wells is a long-running Bonita Springs gated club on the U.S. 41 corridor: 27 holes the public can still play, with fitness, racquets, and the pool reserved for members after the HOA bought the course in 2018.
Official course pages describe a 27-hole championship facility played in three 18-hole combinations (North, South, East). The South and East nines are the original Gordon Lewis eighteen from 1979; the North nine is credited to Bruce Howard (club site) / Leon Howard (some directories) and opened in 1996. Play ranges from about 4,800 to 6,800 yards. Greens were renovated in TifEagle Bermuda; practice includes an aqua range, chipping area, and putting greens. The club is gated residential; after the 2018 HOA purchase, Indigo Golf Partners has managed a semi-private operation — public play and same-day dining on the golf side, with other amenities held for members. Secondary lifestyle lists include a fitness center, Har-Tru tennis, pickleball, bocce, and a pool. Membership is not required to play golf. Demographics are ZIP 34135.
