Tarpon Point

Tarpon Point is a gated southwest Cape Coral enclave on a sheltered Caloosahatchee cove, mixing high-rise condos, coach homes, and gulf-access estates around a deep-water marina and the Westin Cape Coral resort village.

ALLETE sold the marina and about 150 acres to Grosse Point Development in 2001; the buyers then planned a luxury mixed-use waterfront. Official community pages describe a gated campus with three high-rise condominiums, single-family and estate homes, and villas looking over the marina, a mangrove preserve, and the river toward Sanibel. The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village is on site (official copy: 263 guest accommodations). A community marketing site (mytarponpoint.com) states 148 acres, Tarpon Estates (47 homesites, 27 with direct gulf-access boating), Tarpon Gardens (120 coach-home condos), and a two-pool amenity park with Har-Tru tennis, fitness, bocce, and a tiki bar. The official marina page places the basin at ICW marker 92 with 8-12 feet of water, 225 slips for boats up to 75 feet (special accommodations to 125 feet), fuel, and a rule that 90 percent of wet slips are available to the public first-come, first-served. Gulf access is direct via the Caloosahatchee, not a Cape Coral lock. There is no community golf course or deeded beach club. HOA and CDD dollars were not confirmed from a master budget.
