The Moorings is a mature central Naples neighborhood of about 4,000 homes and condos between Coquina Sands and Park Shore, with optional private beach-park membership and an optional executive golf club.
The City of Naples says Milton Link's company bought the tract in 1957 and that The Moorings now covers more than 1,300 acres with approximately 4,000 homes and condominiums. The Moorings Property Owners Association is voluntary and is the path to Moorings Beach Park parking and member events. MPOA materials cited locally count about 875 single-family homes and 82 condo buildings. Doctors Pass is the inlet from Moorings Bay to the Gulf. The Moorings Golf & Country Club is a separate member-owned 18-hole par-63 executive course completed in 1963; golf and social memberships are not tied to the deed. Streets are public and there is no master gated perimeter.
