Walkable Living

Town centers and neighborhoods where daily life happens on foot.

What makes a great walkable living community?

True walkability is scarce in Florida, which makes Southwest Florida's walkable pockets precious. Downtown Naples is the gold standard — Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South, with the beach at the end of every avenue. Fort Myers' River District delivers the urban version with brick streets, breweries and riverfront condos, while newer town-center districts like Coconut Point in Estero and Mercato in North Naples build the walk-to-dinner life around open-air retail. Downtown Bonita Springs and Punta Gorda's historic blocks round out the roster, and both keep investing in their public realms.

Prices track walkability closely here, so budget accordingly — or look at the town-center districts, where condos and coach homes put restaurants, errands and entertainment on foot at a fraction of Old Naples rates.
